Use @mentions in Outlook (nexus-yfs.org)

When you @mention a contact, they will be added to the "To" line of the email or calendar invite, also it will make it easier for them to know that they need to take some action or participate in the conversation.

This feature can be particularly useful when you want to ensure that a specific person sees the message or invite and responds promptly.
  1. In the body of the email message or calendar invite, enter the @ symbol followed by the first few letters of the contact's first or last name.

  2. Outlook will automatically offer suggestions based on the letters you have typed. Choose the contact you want to mention from the list of suggested contacts.

By default, their full name is included. You can delete a portion of the mention, for example, everything other than the person's first name.

  3. Once you have mentioned a contact, they will be added to the "To" line of the email or calendar invite.

  4. Finish composing your message or invite and send it. The mentioned contact will receive a notification that they have been tagged in the message or invite and can easily respond or act.
