Use Translation Services at SERCC

The primary language translation service at SERCC is LanguageLine.

Please try using that first, on one of the SERCC Android tablets.

This service is dependent on internet connectivity between the Android tablet and LanguageLine's servers, which could be disrupted in an emergency situation.

If that happens, please contact the Nexus Service Desk via 763-251-6211 or opening a ticket.
Please provide the time of disruption, the device ID off the back of the tablet, and let us know you are going to failover to Microsoft Translate.
(This information will be helpful to identify the source of the disruption.)

Then, open Microsoft Translate on the device.
You can try both online and offline modes.

The offline mode doesn't require any internet connectivity; however, it can only translate written or typed text.
The Microsoft Translate online mode might be useful, if the source of the disruption is a LanguageLine outage.

The Microsoft Translate offline mode uses downloaded languages, please ensure that Spanish and other common languages are pre-downloaded to the tablets.
