Change the Name of a Team in Microsoft Teams

Important: You must be an Owner of the Team to change its name.

  1. If you're in combined view, select Channels at the top of the chat pane, or in the left, select 
    teams tab icon
    Teams and find the Team.

  2. Next to the Team name, select the More options (
    Generic Ellipsis button
    ) and then choose  
    Icon used on settings button in Journal
    Manage team.


  3. Under the Settings tab, select Edit to enter the new Team name.


    The new Team name must begin with one of these prefixes:

    AgencyTeam Prefix
    Multiple Agencies or Nexus Family Healing Wide
    		NFH-
    Nexus Home OfficeNHO-
    Foster, Adopt, and Community ServicesFAC-
    Aspen House operated by Nexus Family HealingANH-
    Nexus-East BethelNEB-
    Nexus-FACTSNFC-
    Nexus-GerardNGD-
    Hennepin County Crisis CenterNHS-
    Nexus-Indian OaksNIO-
    Nexus-KindredNKD-
    Nexus-Mille LacsNML-

    If appropriate, you can also edit the description of the Team at this time.


  4. Select Done.
