Resolve Windows Photo Viewer Error

Problem: Windows Photo viewer is giving this error:


"Windows Photo Viewer can't display this picture because there might not be enough memory available on your computer. Close some programs that you aren't using or free some hard disk space (if it's almost full) and then try again."

Solution:

  1. On the Start  menu, select Settings  > Apps Default apps

  2. Select the Windows Photo Viewer app:

  3. Select Photos (Recommended for Window 10)

Please let us know if Photos is missing from the list, you may need a Windows upgrade.

4. Try opening the image again, it should now open correctly in the the Photos app.
