Problem:
In an Microsoft 365 desktop application, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, you receive a message that your account could not be verified.
"Couldn't Verify Account: We're having trouble verifying your Office 365 account on this computer. Most features will be turned off on..."
Alternatively, you receive a message that the product is unlicensed:
"Unlicensed Product: Most features are turned off because a shared computer license isn't available. To use these features, close Outlook, restart it, and sign in with your Office 365 account."
Solution:
If you are getting the message "Couldn't Verify Account":
1. Close all Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
2. Open Word.
3. Sign out of Microsoft 365 account towards the upper right-hand corner.
4. Close Word.
5. Open Word.
6. Sign in to Microsoft 365 account using your current primary email address.
This should resolve the problem.

If you are getting the message "Unlicensed Product":
1. Close all Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
2. Open Word.
3. Sign in to your Microsoft 365 account using your current primary email address.
