FAQ:
Q. What is the difference between a channel that is on a repeater and a direct connection?
A. The repeater uses an external antenna to extend the range of the radio signal, giving much more coverage. Please note that if you are far away from the repeater you may be able to hear, but may not be able to be heard back. This is due to the repeater boosting the signal being broadcasted out. A direct connection has much lower range and communication can vary from location to location. Physical barriers such as walls, or trees can affect the quality of a direct connection.
