Chrome Bookmarks aren't backed up automatically

Chrome Bookmarks aren't synced to other PC's & should your PC fail may not be recoverable. We've spent hours trying to back them up for you without success as Google provides no system to do it without a Google account. Backup your Chrome Bookmarks in one of the following ways:
  1. Import them into  Microsoft Edge as it automatically backs them up
  2. Save the website URL address in a Word or Excel file
  3. Backup Chrome Bookmarks occasionally via steps at bottom. Set a reminder so you don't forget
  4. Sign into Chrome in top-right with a personal Gmail/google account
  5. Favorite the website in Microsoft Edge (or Internet Explorer) as those are backed up
  1. Open Chrome
  2. Chrome settings, Bookmarks, Bookmark manager (Ctrl+Shift+0)
  3. Click 3 dots on lower blue bar, Export bookmarks
  4. Save file to location of your choosing
